It keeps getting better for big-voiced U.K. pop singer, Adele, with two major wins at Germany's major music awards celebrations. Adele won two Echo Awards on March 22nd, each time over, among others, the Fame Monster, Lady Gaga.
After taking home a truck load of hardware from the Grammy Awards in the U.S. and Brit Awards in the U.K., Adele managed both the Album of the Year award for "21" and the Best Female International Artist award at the Echos. For both, Lady Gaga had also been nominated, as had the late U.K. singer, Amy Winehouse.

Gaga was shutout at the Echos, as she was at the Grammys in L.A. in February, where she sat near the front with a black-net over her face and watched as Adele paraded up to the stage to collect 6 awards, winning in every category she was up for. For 3 of those awards at the Grammys, Lady Gaga had also been nominated.
Adele did not attend the awards show in Berlin, but American singer Katy Perry, who did not win an award, did and performed a new song, 'Part of Me' while wearing a cat suit. Adele thanked her German fans in a tweet.
