article imageExtreme cyclist's terrifying mountain biker run video goes viral

By Kev Hedges     Mar 19, 2012 in Lifestyle
Peruvian cyclist Alejandro Paz's video of his terrifying downhill run has gone viral and is making him famous across the internet.
The death-defying footage shows the daredevil cyclist riding down a narrow mountain path strewn with boulders and sharp jagged rocks. At some points the narrow track is just wide enough for one person to walk down with a clean drop just inches to his right. The Peruvian extreme sportsman barrels down at mind-numbing speeds and appears to be heading for disaster at any given moment.
The video taken by Alejandro's securely fixed mounted headcam, shows Mr Paz clearly and skilfully hanging on for dear life. The nail-biting footage still makes for a terrifying but thrilling ride, reports Eurosport.
The video has gone viral on YouTube with over 1.5 million hits since it was uploaded two weeks ago. The daredevil cyclist is seen negotiating dizzying slopes with steep drops on all sides and blood-spattering rocks jutting out of pretty much everywhere, reports Hypervocal.
The rock-shredding rider has also featured on mountain biking enthusiast website, Downhill News.
