If you like hearing about Lady Gaga it may soon get harder to do so. The Fame Monster told Oprah Winfrey that she's gonna stop talking to media and go into a reclusive period. She doesn't, she said, read what's written about her anyways.
Lady Gaga made that declaration on 'Oprah's Next Chapter' and the show airs Sunday on Winfrey's OWN network. Gaga sounded firm and there appears to be no ifs, ands or buts about it - she is shutting down. "Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television."
Lady Gaga: won't read "a damn thing"
She added that if her mom calls to ask if she has heard about something that was said about her she won't have heard about it because she doesn't intend to pay attention. She's going to "shut it all off." She told Winfrey that she doesn't "read a damn thing" written about her anyways.
The interview in which she said she's gonna giving the world the silent treatment took place in the apartment in New York, her parents apartment, where Stefani Germanotta, her real name, grew up (she has one sibling, a sister). Her Mom, Cynthia, took part in the interview. Other parts of the show were taped back in February when Lady Gaga, with Winfrey, launched her 'Born This Way' Foundation at Harvard University.
'Oprah's Next Chapter' featuring Lady Gaga and her mother will air on Sunday, March 18th at 9 pm EST on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
