By Malysa Stratton Louk     Feb 21, 2012 in Entertainment
The horror genre is booming with new book releases scheduled for 2012. Check out the upcoming, bone-chilling, spine-tingling novels and anthologies coming out this year.
The horror genre takes many forms – from the stereotypical hack-and-slash murderers and modern-day werewolves and vampires to the psychological horrors that live within and the real-life horrors of everyday life, past and present.
As the horror genre continues to grow and evolve, so do the authors. With the explosion in horror book releases scheduled for 2012, you won’t want to miss these mind-chilling stories brought to you by Rocky Wood, Frazer Lee and C.W. LaSart.
Witch Hunts: A Graphic History of the Burning Times by Rocky Wood and Lisa Morton; Illustrated by Greg Chapman
The graphic novel explores nearly three centuries of witch-hunts and witch-hunters, as well as those who protested and the tens of thousands wrongly accused, tortured and burned alive. Don’t mistake this as just another history book on the Salem Witch Trials. The graphic novel digs deeper into the issues with graphics and dialogue that bring the witch-hunts to life.
About the authors: Rocky Wood is president of the Horror Writers Association, author of several books on Stephen King and is known as a leading Stephen King expert. Lisa Morton is a horror writer and screenwriter from California. Greg Chapman is an Australian horror author and artist with a third novella coming out later this year.
The book is scheduled for release in July 2012 by McFarland Publishing and is available for pre-order.
