Mumbai - Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan could be facing a long stay in the Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai, as a second surgery is needed to tackle the actors abdominable pains.
A second surgery was scheduled for Friday but was postponed due to post-operative pain from the first surgery. Keeping in touch with his fan base Bachchan took to Twitter during a long sleepless night. The BBC reported he said : "Some more tests... more unpronounceable medication... and... another visit to the OT... operation theater! Going to be a long stay."
"I have no idea now how long this will take, but it does look as though it will be long... thank you for your prayers and love...!!"
According to the Hindustan Times Amitabh also told his fans "There are more doctors now being called in for consultation, for second opinion...they do not differ in the analysis of the earlier doctors... so treatment remains, pain remains."
Amitabh does have the comfort of having his family close by though. Bollywood Life reported Amitabh said "the family is asleep in adjoining room."
Earlier in the week Digital Journal reported that Amitabh had enjoyed a visit from his new granddaughter Beti B and her mother Aishwarya Rai.
