The video of a girl who fell during a live broadcast was recently uploaded on YouTube and has gone viral. The incident was captured in the background of a live news broadcast on CBC.
The girl was captured in the background of the news broadcast walking out of a building and texting on her cellphone. She lost her footing as she tried to walk down a short flight of steps because her attention was concentrated on the phone and she wasn't looking ahead. As the reporter speaks she fell heavily to the ground and seemed unable to rise after she had fallen, and people fearing she might have hurt herself rushed to help.
The reporter, unaware of a more interesting news drama unfolding behind him, continued delivering his CBC News report on "Nine ways Ontario can cut spending." No doubt, a significant proportion of his audience had their attention diverted by the more interesting news in the background.
