Fresh off a halftime Super Bowl show in front of an audience of 114 million viewers, Madonna is gonna hit the road. The Material Girl, through her concert promoters, Live Nation, announced on Feb. 7 that she'll kick-off a world tour this coming May.
The tour begins on May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel and continues in Europe until August 21 in Nice, France, with a total of 26 dates. Madonna will then move to North America for another 26 shows, beginning in Philadelphia on August 28 and ending in Miami on a date in late November that is not yet set. There will also be, Live Nation says, dates in South America and Australia, though those dates haven't been announced.

Madonna, who will turn 54 days before the European leg of the tour ends, is taking advantage of her approx. 13 minute performance at Sunday's Super Bowl between the winning New York Giants and New England Patriots, announcing the tour while she has the world's attention.
She did a medley of older songs, including Vogue and Like a Prayer, and a new song, Give Me all Your Luvin. Watched by over 114 million people, her performance was the most watched Super Bowl half time ever, with 3 plus million more viewers than the game itself.
Her list of major world tours is longer than most artists lists of records released and it includes The Virgin Tour (1985), Blond Ambition World Tour (1990) and her most recent Sticky and Sweet Tour (2008-09). This tour will be her ninth world tour.
