Tel Aviv - This morning, Israel's radio programme Galgalatz confirmed that Madonna will be returning to Israel May 29, 2012 and will appear in Tel Aviv at the Ramat Gan Stadium.
Two years ago Madonna rocked Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park with two packed out concerts. Madonna is back. The Queen of Pop, performing in at least 50 countries starts her world tour in Israel.
Billboard news states the tour will take place after the release of Madonna's new album "MDNA," expected out March 29.
Regarding her previous visit and concerts in this region, Israel's Ynet reports that Safed's rabbi, Shmuel Eliyahu, wrote personally to Madonna "urging her to honor the Holy Land and wear modest clothes while performing in Tel Aviv."
According to Ynet, The rabbi began his letter to "Mrs. Madonna Louise Ciccone" by welcoming her to Israel and its holy sites. Ynet state that the rabbi pointed out that "the way Madonna's concerts are marketed in Israel does not match the values of Kabbalah, which she is so well identified with." He asked her to respect them.
Tickets are due to go on sale February 10th in Tel Aviv and the United Kingdom, with North American tickets sales starting February 13th. More ticket and tour information can be found here.
