A video on YouTube has begun to garner lots of attention. And a cute one it is.
The video showcases a baby that plays a pretty good game of ping-pong, complete with a mean swing.
The video titled, "Jamie playing multiball' was uploaded on Jan 16, 2012 by YouTube user ketamyska. As of this writing, it has over 446,000 views.
In the video Jamie repetitively hits ping-pong balls back to his dad, who in turn keeps serving them up. What's amazing about Jamie's skills is not only does his return swing rarely miss the ping-pong ball, but he also has amazing accuracy and power behind his enthusiastic swing of the paddle.
“Jamie absolutely loves table tennis,” said his dad. “He takes his bat everywhere with him…He just wants to play as soon as he sees a table.”
According to ABC News, Jamie is 18-months-old and both of his dads passed onto their son a lifetime love of ping-pong. The family lives in Plymouth, England.
“Who knows, one day he may be a champ and beat the Chinese at their own game,” said Jamie’s dad. “But as long as he enjoys it, that will be the main thing. And it is much better for him than an X-box.”
Since table tennis became an Olympic sport in 1988, China has largely dominated the gold medals.
This is Plymouth reported Jamie started playing over a year ago.
Check Jamie's ping-pong action out, is he going to be a future sensation or what?
