The television network ABC has announced plans to pilot a new series which will center on conspiracy theories. The network have also devised three other new shows.
ABC, in drawing up their later 2012 TV schedules, have announced that one of the intended shows will be called "Zero Hour". "Zero Hour" involves a man who, in a bizarre twist of fate, is pulled into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history after spending 20 years as the editor of a sceptics magazine. The driving force behind this one is "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring.
According to the website GEV, ABC are also planning to pilot three other shows. One is called "Gotham" where a female police officer finds a magical world hidden inside New York City. According to Dead Central, "Heroes" writer Michael Green will co-produce. Despite the title "Gotham" does not have anything to do with Batman.
The third program, listed by TV Line, is "Penoza”. The story is about the widow of a criminal that was assassinated. It is written by "Twilight" writer Mellissa Rosenberg. The widow in order to protect her family, has to join a crime syndicate in order for her family to be protected.
The Wrap states that the final show announced is “Devious Maids”. This is a drama involving four maids who want to work for rich and famous clientele living in Beverly Hills. It is from the team behind “Desperate Housewives”.
Will these shows be hits or misses? The reactions of TV viewers later this year will decide.
