article imageOp-Ed: Trump to Make Major Announcement Thursday

Las Vegas - Will he endorse a candidate? If so, which one? If not, will he finally jump into the ring himself. And as what? A Republican? Too late to get on the ballot, isn't it? An independent? Could be. Who knows?
Whatever.
But it's official. You know it's official because Donald "tweeted" it himself on his Twitter doohickey.
"I will be making a major announcement tomorrow (Thursday, February 2) at 12:30 pm at Trump International Hotel & Tower, Las Vegas, Nevada," Trump tweeted on Wednesday. "I will be arriving this evening at approximately 11:30 pm. The announcement will pertain to the Presidential race. All media welcome."
It's a good thing he was clear about this announcement having to do with the presidential campaign. Tomorrow being Groundhog Day and all, one wouldn't be too surprised to hear Trump announce that he had seen his own shadow and therefore there will be six more weeks of winter.
But no, this is about the election.
Perhaps he will announce Newt Gingrich saw his own shadow?
Let's be serious for a moment if we must.
Will he endorse Romney? Seems unlikely. Newt? Perhaps. Santorum? Not if he's checked "the Google" lately. Ron Paul? Nope. There's been some bad back and forth between them.
Will he announce a Wrestlemania style "Ultimate Debate-Off" between Mitt and Newt with the Winner Take All prize being a clear ticket, Trump-funded all the way, to Tampa this summer?
Good lord. Can we wait until 12:30 tomorrow? And is that Vegas time or New York time?
So many questions.
