An urban skier on the city streets of Marquette, Michigan, who launched off a ramp while performing a rail slide, became stuck on a pole as he exited the jump, leaving him hanging above the ground with his legs dangling below him.
The epic fail was caught on
videotape by the skiing enthusiast's friends and posted to YouTube where it's becoming a viral hit. The video has been picked up by the media and seen around the world.
The footage was filmed and edited by Mike Kvackay and features Elliot Karafa in an unplanned stunt that has turned the young man into an overnight sensation. The extreme skier nearly executed the street stunt perfectly until an attempt to perform a 180-degree turn went awry. His coat caught on a street sign, leaving him in a precarious predicament.
The man, who was not injured, was freed by his friends, who were able to lift him from the top of the pole to the ground.
