High winds did not prevent planes landing at a German airport earlier in January, though it took some remarkable moves on the part of skilled pilots to land safely.
Plane spotter Martin Bogdan filmed some amazing footage of plane landings during a cross winds storm at Düsseldorf airport in Germany. The video, uploaded on You Tube, has gone viral with 1.7 million views since it was posted on Jan. 5.
According to the Daily Mail winds were recorded at 35 knots, with gusts of 55 knots, forcing the pilots to use some incredible manoeuvres to land safely.
Emirates 247 reported that one of the planes was an Emirates Airline Boeing 777-300, with the Emirati pilot making a faultless landing in spite of the conditions. Other airlines which made the landing including Air Berlin and Thomas Cook.
Mr. Bogdan has said he has received "incredible" feedback over the video.
