Beverly Hills - The best and brightest in the world of cinema are honored at the Academy Awards. The 84th annual Oscars are upon us, and the nominees have been announced Tuesday morning by Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence and President Tom Sherak.
On Feb. 26, millions of movie lovers across the globe will tune in to the 84th annual Academy Awards ceremony. With much anticipation in the months leading up to the Oscar date, the entertainment community and motion picture audiences get ready for the nominations list.
The most prestigious award in Hollywood will be presented to the best and brightest the film world has to offer at the historic Kodak Theatre. This year, actor Billy Crystal will host the Academy Awards as per the selection of the Oscars producer – award-winning composer Hans Zimmer will serve as a music consultant.
At 5:30 a.m. PST, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and Academy member and Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence announced this year’s nominees.
Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" garnered 11 Oscar nods, while Woody Allen produced gold, yet again, with his Paris picture, "Midnight in Paris.
