In a
story from Jan. 18 entitled
LL Cool J to be first Grammy host in seven years the BBC talked of the artists who would perform on the show. While the Grammy
website has stories on the other names mentioned to be on the show there is no mention of Lady Gaga in the context of this year's Grammy Awards.
BBC says Lady Gaga at 54th Grammies
Here's what the BBC wrote: "Performers at the ceremony have already been announced, and will include Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga - who will open and close the show." The story does not say where they got their information, nor give other details.
While other websites have picked up on the notion of Lady Gaga opening and closing the show at the Grammy Awards in L.A. this year, they
cite the BBC as their source. As of this writing
Digital Journal was not able to find any corroboration of the BBC claim.
In addition to LL Cool J hosting the show, performers confirmed by the Grammy website to be performing on the 54th Grammy Awards include Coldplay,, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
