article imageBeyoncé and the 'fake' birth interview

An article, published in "Star Magazine" on Tuesday January 17, supposedly with the pop singer Beyoncé has been denounced by her press agent as a 'fake'. However, this charge is challenged by the magazine who maintain that the interview took place.
An interview with the pop singer Beyoncé Knowles, heralded as her first interview since giving birth, is probably not as accurate as it first appears.
The article, in "Star Magazine", sub-headed "world exclusive" has been reported by the BBC as leading to an argument between the publisher and the Beyoncé camp. Beyoncé's staff state that the article is a 'fabrication', whereas the magazine stands by its story. MTV quotes a representative of the singer stating that the whole article is "made up."
Access Hollywood states that in the interview Beyoncé discusses the recent birth of her daughter (named with typical pop star panache as Blue Ivy Carter) and comments that her husband, the rapper Jay-Z, will be a "hands-on dad".
"Star Magazine" state that although they did not interview the former Destiny's Child Beyoncé using any of their staff they purchased the interview through a U.S. agent. However, Gossip Cop reveals that the interview was put together in the U.S. from a series of old quotes from old interviews. The magazine ran the article with the title: "Beyonce reveals to Star how she felt after giving birth to Blue Ivy."
"Star Magazine" is a weekly U.K. celebrity gossip magazine with a circulation of around 400,000. Whilst many magazine's use 'cut and paste' quotes, if the statement from Beyonce is true then this story questions the credibility of some celebrity magazines.
