article imageRick Santorum: Dead Iranian scientists a 'wonderful thing'

By Katerina Nikolas     Jan 16, 2012 in Politics
Rick Santorum believes that when civilian Iranian scientists who work on Iran's nuclear energy program turn up dead it's a "wonderful thing." In fact he rues the U.S. administration condemning the assassination of Iranian scientists.
GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum has openly praised what he says is American involvement in the death of Iranian scientists working on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. Santorum clearly stated in October "On occasion, scientists working on the nuclear program in Iran turn up dead. I think that's a wonderful thing." He believes it sends a clear message to other scientists that if they work on an Iranian nuclear bomb they are not safe.
Thus Santorum openly supports American acts of terrorism. The assassination of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan on Wednesday was condemned by the U.S. administration, which denied any involvement, in spite of the candidate endorsing American involvement. Santorum says it was wrong to criticize the murder. According to Fox News he said "Our country condemned it. My feeling is we should have kept our mouth shut."
The IAEA has said Iran is not working on a nuclear bomb but on nuclear energy, though "Iran might have the technology to develop a nuclear weapon if it wants to." (RT) The murdered Roshan was a civilian scientist whose death Santorum has cheered. If a U.S. citizen civilain scientist was assassinated in America it would be described as terrorism, yet Santroum openly cheer-leads for America to commit terrorist atrocities overseas.
According to the Sunday Times an Israeli source has revealed that Mossad agents were responsible for the assassination of Roshan. The source said "Roshan initially worked for the defense ministry and after sometime was 'responsible for other sensitive things' at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI)."
Santorum is all in favor of using military strikes against Iran, in addition to murdering their scientists. Such open support of terrorism makes a mockery of the on-going war against terror and leaves the U.S. with no moral high ground to stand on if it allows such blatant arrogance, dispassion and warmongering amongst one of its presidential hopefuls.
