article imageBieber's manager Scooter Braun on 'Believe': 'Let the fun begin'

By Marcus Hondro     Jan 11, 2012 in Entertainment
As the guy who plucked the Canadian kid from the streets of Stratford, Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun is naturally gonna be a big-time fan of his famous client. So his tweet on Jan. 10 isn't gonna come as a surprise.
Still, for Bieber fans patiently waiting for news of Bieber's next album, it's welcome. To begin, Bieber himself tweeted early on the 10th that he was starting "recording full-time for BELIEVE today." He didn't give details about the musicians but the vocal producer for the session is Kuk Harrell, who worked with him on 'My World 2.0' back in the spring of 2010 and on his recent Christmas offering, 'Under the Mistletoe'. Whatever Bieber and Harrell are up to it's got Braun excited.
Some work had been done previous so when Braun dropped by the studio there were things for the manager to listen to and his tweet certainly showed much excitement for whatever it was he heard. "Wow!! In the studio with @justinbieber and #Believe is going to be ridiculous!!!" he tweeted about 9:30 in the evening.
Justin Bieber: 'Believe' stepping stone to adult singer
Harrell and Braun have each talked of transitioning Bieber from the cutesy teen of Baby fame into a singer that's almost an adult. The word transition is important as they don't want Bieber, who'll turn 18 March 1, likely around when the record will be released, to go all the way to adult. Not yet, Harrell has said. The record Braun tweeted about will be a step toward that.
Bieber himself spoke of the record back in the fall and talked of seeking new sounds on it but not ever losing his young fans. In October he said that he wants "to find something that’s going to suit me and my fans are going to love and older people will like and younger people will like."
He intends to record a lot of songs "until I find a solid 15 songs that I love." Judging by his manager's tweet, he's already found something that Scooter Braun loves.
