Mario Lopez and his girlfriend, Courtney Mazza, were in Mexico for New Year's festivities, and the pair got engaged while there.

Lopez and Mazza were in Ixtapa, celebrating New Year’s Eve, and that is when Lopez, 38, got down on his knee and asked for her hand in marriage. According to Fox, before Lopez asked Mazza, who is the mother of his daughter, to marry him, he got very romantic with her. According to US Magazine, Lopez said that as the sun was setting, he and Mazza were walking alone. Lopez then said that he told Mazza that he wanted her to share the last name of his children. He then said that she was shocked and was silent at first, but then she was happy and leapt for joy. According to the Los Angeles Times, the couple are likely to get married later this year, in Mexico. This will not be Lopez’s first marriage. Lopez was once married to Ali Landry, the “Doritos girl,” who he dated for a few years. However, the marriage was annulled just after two weeks. Landry said that she firmly believed that Lopez was unfaithful.
