Some fans who follow Howard Stern on Twitter had the chance to get a phone call from the king of media on New Year’s Eve.
Stern tweeted a message to his followers on New Year’s Eve. The message said that he and Beth are drunk dialing and asked followers for their phone number.
According to MSNBC, Stern and his wife followed through with it. According to Stern’s Twitter feed, the couple made phone calls for a few hours. Stern tweeted about who he spoke to. There were some cases where Stern could not reach the person, but he tweeted that he left a message on their voicemail.
According to lime Life, Bryan Srabian was the first person that Stern called. Srabian is the director of Social Media for the San Francisco Giants. Srabian said that he was not prepared for the call because he didn’t think Stern would actually call. Srabian tweeted that he was blown away after the Stern called him.
According to NBC, one of Stern’s followers tweeted that he and his wife adopted 2 cats because of the advice Stern gave. Stern replied back and said that he just called so he could hear about the cats, but got the voicemail.
After a few hours of making phone calls, Stern tweeted that he had a great time making the calls. He went onto say that it was great speaking to so many of his followers and that the conversations were great.
His fans also thought it was great. One person wrote that “Howard Stern just called me.” The person said they were playing a video game when Stern called. Another follower wrote that they started to cry after Stern hung up with them.
