The website BabyNames.com has released a poll they conducted on celebrity baby names in 2011 and the list has the good, the bad and the ugly. Some celebs are, it seems, well, a bit different.
Naturally among the more interesting aspects of a poll like this is the names that top the list - as the worst. Some 10,000 visitors to the BabyNames.com website did the voting and it's hard to disagree with their choices. The picked not just the best baby boy and baby girl names but also the worst.
Worst and Best Celeb Baby Boy Names of 2011
The worst boy name category saw a tie between Morroccan, the name of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon gave to their boy born in April (they named his twin sister Monroe) and Bear Blu, the name chosen by Alicia Silverstone and husband Christopher Jarecki for their baby boy. With all those votes it was pretty strange to get a tie. A celeb boy name similar to Morroccan was Morocco, given to boxer Mike Tyson's son.
The best baby boy name as voted by the BabyNames.com website visitors was the name given to the son of the rapper Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Monyetta (an interesting name in itself); the two gave their son the triple-barreled name of Mason Evan Smith.
Worst and Best Celeb Baby Girl Names of 2011
The worst baby girl name given by a celebrity is not one you are likely to argue about. Wee Zuzu Audrey can rest assured there is no other human with her name and when she grows up she may enjoy that distinction. If she doesn't she can blame her parents, Top Chef contestant Tania Peterson and her husband, Phil. Peterson isn't a big celeb but voters included her and Zuzu Audrey all the same.
The best baby girl name of 2011 comes courtesy of top motocross racer Carey Hart and his gal, the singer Pink, who choose for their newborn the name Willow Sage Hart. Expect the number of Willow's born into the world to increase this year.
