A Superior Court of California judge finalized Mel Gibson's divorce from his thirty year marriage with his ex-wife Robyn Moore.
Gibson married Moore in 1980 and had seven children with her; the youngest being 12 years old, and the sole minor in the on going custody case between the two.
The couple separated in 2006, followed by Moore filing for divorce from Gibson in 2009 after finding out Gibson and his girlfriend, Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva were expecting a child. This divorce is currently known as one of Hollywood's biggest payouts yet, resulting in a division of Gibson's $850 million fortune due to the lack of a prenuptial agreement. Robyn Moore is also entitled to continue receiving half of any earnings from film's for the rest of the star's life.
Gibson is also in the middle of a custody battle with Grigorieva over their two year old daughter Lucia Gibson. The division for half of Mel Gibson's assets includes over $600 million earned from Passions of the Christ, over $22.5 million dollars in California real estate as well as property in Fuji, and his long time earnings as a film producer. Most of the details of the divorce and settlement remain confidential.
