article imageHow to make a bacon Christmas tree

By Alexandra Christopoulos     Dec 24, 2011 in Food
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are your (bacon) branches? The fun chefs at Epic Meal Time have devised a way to make your very own holiday bacon tree, decorated with fast food ornaments.
Like their name suggests, the chefs of Epic Meal Time are known for creating extremely high-calorie meals. The finished product is usually tipped off with a favourite alcoholic drink, namely Jack Daniels. Hosted by Harley Morentein and a group of friends, the YouTube show launched in Oct 2010 and airs on Tuesdays.
Whether the guys were glutton for punishment when the 'bacon tree' episode appeared most recently, or were looking for gags, the idea certainly adds a twist to this holiday symbol.
Their directions aren't exactly step-by-step, but the footage opens in the kitchen, of course, where baking sheets are being lined with, you guessed it, bacon.
On a table, a small Christmas tree is ready to be lined with the crispy treat, which is adorned with strings of chicken nuggets and other assorted fast-food "ornaments."
Later, the viewer is reminded to look under the tree for their 'liquor presents,' which may be safe to assume, are bottles of Jack's.
