Ashton Kutcher is resuming his hit prank TV show Punk’d on MTV. But this time he’s leaving the hosting duties to someone else.
Ashton Kutcher-movie, television and Twitter star- has revived his famous prank TV show Punk’d, for the MTV network. The first glimpse of the new season will be broadcast on New Year’s Eve. Kutcher, currently starring in CBS' i]Two and A Half Men, won’t be hosting Punk’d. He and fellow original producer Jason Goldberg will remain behind the scenes while a celebrity host will be featured every episode. Rumor has it that the premiere features teen singer Justin Bieber punking country-pop star Taylor Swift.
Punk’d originally aired for 8 seasons from 2003 to 2007 and featured Kutcher using his star status to set up elaborate pranks against fellow celebs including Britney Spears, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Halle Berry. Most episodes had Kutcher staying out of the prank until the victim became convinced of its reality.The premiere episode featured Kutcher punking Justin Timberlake, bringing him nearly to tears as he's convinced that his some of his treasured belongings are being repossessed due to back taxes.
