article imageTrailer for The Dark Knight Rises released online

By David Silverberg     Dec 19, 2011 in Internet
One of the most anticipated movie trailers of the year is finally available. The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale as Batman, will be released in July but the trailer is now making the viral rounds online.
If this trailer is any indication, Batman will have his hands full with the villains Bane and Catwoman in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises. At 2:11, the trailer reveals some of Bane's plans to terrorize Gotham, as well as the warnings Catwoman (Anne Hathway) offers to Bruce Wayne at a glamourous dance.
The Dark Knight Rises stars Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. It takes place eight years after the events chronicled in The Dark Knight.
Earlier in the year, a short teaser trailer was released, as reported on Digital Journal.
A bootleg trailer for The Dark Knight Rises previously appeared online but it was quickly removed.
The official trailer is only available to be viewed on Apple's site (requiring Quicktime to view the clip) but it's also being copied on video sharing sites such as YouTube.
