Washington - A brand new family portrait was released on the White House's Flickr feed today, taken in the Oval Office on 12/11/11. It is the Obama family's second official holiday portrait.
US President Barack Obama managed to carve out some time from his extraordinarily busy schedule to sit, relax and embrace the lovely Obama ladies for the family's second official holiday portrait, when the family returned to the White House after church services.
The New York Daily News describes Mr. Obama and wife Michelle, holding their two daughters, Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, in their strong intertwined hands. Everyone is festively dressed, as White House photographer Pete Souza does the photo shoot.
The White House skipped the family portrait for its holiday card last year, but went back to the tradition set by photographer Annie Liebovitz in 2009.
The Huffington Post reports that Malia is in a navy and black frock from Anthropologieblue, Sasha is wearing a purple Clarissa dress by BB Dakot, Michelle is wearing a black cap-sleeve dress from Byron Lars, and the President is in a navy suit with a deep pink/purple/red tie.
