A teenage boy who recently lost his homework likely had no clue that it would ultimately get him into bigger trouble than just with his teacher.
Over the weekend an upstate N.Y. auction house, located in the village of Liberty, was robbed, reported the
Times Herald-Record.
According to the report, the owner told police Sunday morning when he arrived at his business he found a window removed.
Additionally, several items were missing from the auction house, which included jewelry, cellphones, video games, tools amongst other items.
As police investigated the scene of the crime, they found math homework in the woods with the suspect's name on the paper, and this led to the arrest of a 12-year-old boy.
The youth has been charged with felony burglary in the third degree. He is scheduled to appear in Sullivan County Family Court.
This investigation is ongoing by Liberty Village Police.
Mid-Hudson News reported additional arrests may be possible in this incident.
