Police have charged a Connecticut man with possession of a controlled substance, risk of injury, and impairing the morals of a child, after he inadvertently sent his 18-month-old son to daycare with a marijuana cigarette in his lunchbox.
John Sulzbach, the 33-year-old father of the young boy, allegedly 'accidentally' dropped the marijuana inside the lunch container the night before when preparing his son's meal.
He was arrested after a horrified worker at the Clinton Child Care Center called police to report finding a joint in the personal belonging of the child, reports NBC Connecticut.
The boy's parents agreed to a search of their home by police who found less then an ounce of marijuana in the basement, along with other drug paraphernalia, according to the Hartford Courant.
Sulzbach was released on a written promise to appear. His court date has been set for December 22, on the charges filed by the Connecticut police.
