article imageChewbacca set to make appearance on Glee

Over its short life, the Fox television series, Glee has had some well-known guest star appearances. None of those guest stars have stood out quite as much as a certain Wookee will.
The musical dramedy Glee has announced that this year it will be putting on a Christmas show and as the featured guest star, Chewbacca will make an appearance. The reason for the Star Wars character's appearance appears to be that the show is paying tribute to one of the strangest Christmas specials in the history of television.
"A Star Wars Christmas" was a 1978 special that featured Chewie and his family as they celebrated a Christmas like Holiday known as "Life Day." As the years have passed, the show has become iconic for just how odd it was.
Glee star and director of the Dec. 13 Christmas episode, Matthew Morrison let the details slip on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"There's only one guy who can officially be Chewbacca," Morrison said. "We had Chewbacca for the day. It was great. We were all taking pictures with him. It is a huge guest star."
According to Morrison, Chewbacca will show up much the same way Britney Spears did when she made a cameo, in one of the character's dreams. According to Glee sources, wheel chair bound Artie will have a dream that will comehow involve the Wookie.
