Yesterday, Michael Phelps unveiled the high-tech swimsuit he will wear at next year's London Olympics. Phelps reportedly strutted the catwalk in Manhattan to launch the latest range of skin-tight suits by the makers, Speedo.
Sports 24 reports that Phelps looked more like Spiderman than the world's fastest swimmer as he launched the swimming gear flanked by American team-mates Ryan Lochte and Natalie Coughlin.
The makers Speedo say the swimsuit will give their swimmers a huge advantage over their rivals.
For Phelps, Sports24 quoted him as saying "Knowing that I'm in the best suit has always been something that I thought was a cool gift."
Ahead of the launch, according to
The Star , he said: “Records are always made to be broken. In my eyes, that’s not a question,” indicating the impact the swimsuit would make in his overall performance at the London Olympics next year.
The swimmer holds the world record in the 100 and 200 meters butterfly and 400 meters individual medley.
