For a short time this morning the snow was falling and it looked like it would stick but Mother Nature wasn't ready to give up her green just yet. The animals need a little more time to play in the grass it seems.
While there are many forms of wildlife in Toronto certain animals aren't a rarity for city dwellers. The city parks are full of pigeons and squirrels every day, ready to make off with any droppings that hungry park goers may be nibbling on.
Pigeons are in every corner of the city, plump for the cold days ahead. During this fall the friendly birds were snapped as they enjoyed their city home. Smaller birds also come to play, hoping to get their free share of the grub that nature has to offer.
Squirrels are also frequently seen on every Toronto outing. While some consider them to be pests who try to invade homes for warmth others view them as cute animals who play hard.
Toronto may be a large city but it's one where animals, both wild and domestic, share the parks with people. Area dogs are often seen with their owners playing on grassy lawns and will be seen running in the snow as winter comes into full swing.
