article imageTeen gets upset after missing 'Twilight movie', arrested for DUI

Aurora - An Aurora, Ill. teenager is blaming her boyfriend as being the cause of her recent DUI arrest. The reason she says she was drinking and driving was because her boyfriend didn't show up to take her to the latest installment of the "Twilight Saga."
According to The Smoking Gun, the 18-year-old suspect was arrested for DUI and Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, after she drove a car into a ditch.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Nov. 19.
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said when the officer approached Olivia Ornelas, she claimed she was upset with her boyfriend because he'd neglected to take her to see "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I."
The police report said “Upon further investigation,” the cop determined that Ornelas “was driving with no right front tire and was extremely intoxicated.”
The officer also noted in the report, “Ornelas advised that she was extremely upset with her boyfriend because she did not see the movie Twilight like they were suppose too.”
Ornelas was taken into custody and released the next morning after posting $300 bond.
According to SADD, in 2008, an estimated 12.4 percent of individuals, aged 12 or older, drove under the influence of alcohol at least once during the past year. For individuals in the 21-25 range, the rate was higher, at 26.1 percent.
This past week a 19-year-old California teen was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of a drunken driving crash that killed one passenger and injured two others.
