article imageOp-Ed: What 'The Voice of Freedom' forgot to mention

By Alexander Baron     Nov 19, 2011 in Politics
The front page headline in the latest issue of the British National Party newspaper 'The Voice of Freedom' proclaims “Being English means we're already guilty” - unfortunately, some of “us” are.
The latest issue of the paper proclaims many forbidden truths, but there is one little financial matter that it doesn't mention, although on page 2 the unwary browser is advised: “For the price of a pint...” the reader can ensure the survival of the BNP. That price is given as a hefty £3.75. If you don't mind shopping at a “Zionist” supermarket, Tesco will do you one for a lot less than that - oops, the Jews are on our side now!
But even the local Iranian shopkeeper in Sydenham will sell you a pint for less than that, although his imam doesn't approve.
Okay, if you want to drink it standing at the bar, it will cost you more, but £3.75 still sounds a lot. Let's do a little arithmetic: £45,000 divided by £3.75 = 12,000, and £12,000 divided by 52 weeks = a shade over 230 years, which means that without allowing for interest or unforeseen circumstances, the BNP's leader will have recouped his £45,000 by the year 2231.
Oh yes, that's what he didn't mention. If you want a quick recap on Mr Griffin's misfortunes, click here.
What else is there in the paper? There is much talk about the riots, the shockwaves of which will be felt for not just months but years to come, although yesterday there was one riot story in the news that had a happy ending. On pages 9-10, there is a big spread: TV news reports keep you in the dark. BNP spokesman Simon Darby gets a mention here. Say, wasn't he in court with Griffin when the judge said it's over, and their counsel agreed? Come to think of it, wasn't he Griffin's co-claimant? So who is keeping whom in the dark?
Whatever the fortunes of Messrs Griffin and Derby, and their Party, there are serious grievances held by many of the indigenous population of these islands. Being white and British and especially working class, does not make one an oppressor. For too long, the bemused natives have been told that racism (meaning them) is responsible for all the world's problems, and that they have not simply a moral duty but a legal obligation to give more to those less fortunate than themselves, including foreign aid, asylum, subsidised housing, you name it.
The reality is of course somewhat different. While a tiny number of people are profiting, indeed always have profited, from “Imperialism” and everything bad about the capitalist system, the vast majority of Britons don't and never have. It is the sons of working class and middle class Britons who are being repatriated from Afghanistan in wooden boxes even today. Unfortunately, the latest issue of the Party's newspaper contains little or nothing about the enemy of all mankind, the corrupt, debt-based money system, and what we need to do in order to fix it. So before you dig into your pocket for the benefit of the Party's empty coffers, think twice. £3.75 a week won't save the BNP much less Britain, but it may help you drown your sorrows.
