The entertainment world was taken by storm when it was announced that Piers Morgan would be leaving America’s Got Talent. Morgan wants to focus on something else.
Piers Morgan announced during his show on CNN, that he was no longer going to be a judge on the hit show America’s Got Talent. Morgan said that he wants to solely focus on his show on CNN, because it will be a huge year for the network due to the presidential election.
According to Mediaite, Morgan will be missed by many fans of the show because of his role as a brutally-honest judge.
Morgan thanked NBC, as well as Simon Cowell and the show’s production company. Morgan thanked everybody for giving him the opportunity to be a judge on the show, according to CNN.
Morgan went onto crack a joke and say that Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Nick Cannon will be relieved to not work with him on the show anymore. All three went on Twitter and tweeted about how they are remorseful to see Piers leave the show.
Morgan said that he has loved every single moment of being on the show. He went onto say that juggling between his show on CNN and AGT was real hard and even more difficult than what he thought it would be, according to Access Hollywood.
NBC said that they wish Morgan success in his international broadcasting career. The network also said that Morgan played a huge role in making the reality show a summer phenomenon for the last six years.
