Three years ago it was "Hotties 4 Ron Paul." This time around female "gal" fans of Paul have produced the "2012 Pin-Ups for Ron Paul Calendar," offering less clothing this time around, hoping to boost the campaign coffers of their hero.
Republican candidate Ron Paul has proved less successful than his rival's when it comes to raising contribution donations of over $200 from women. Trailing well behind the candidate with the biggest knack of extracting the dollars from women, Rick Perry, Paul has once again released a calender compiled by his female supporters.
Following on from successful sales of the "Hotties 4 Ron Paul" 2008 calendar, the latest offering is "2012 Pin-Ups for Ron Paul Calendar," featuring scantily clad ladies from his fan base interspersed with political quotes. Notably this years female fans sport less clothing than the hot women of 2008 shown in this video.
Andrew Malcom, writing for[i] IBD, reported that Los Angeles singer and long term admirer of Paul, Juliet Annerino, got together with "some gal pals" to take off some of their clothes to bolster their candidate's election coffers. Annerino also created the 2008 calendar. She said "In this battle for the hearts, minds and souls of men and women, I feel our best weapon may in fact be the sweet persuasions of aesthetics."
The Pin-Up for Ron Paul's Calendar costs $24.95, as it did back in 2008. Pictures from this year's edition can be seen on Pin Ups 4 Ron Paul. Reviewing the 2008 calendar Ology concluded "Some of these women are indeed hot while others are, well, not… But they are all ideologically committed libertarians. So they’ve got that going for them."
The habit of Paul's supporters for promoting calenders could account for the reason he trails behind his rivals in monetary support from women. According to IBD, a report from the Center for Responsive Politics showed Paul was below every other Rep. candidate in attracting female donations, with even less success than Michele Bachman.
If Paul is elected President it will be interesting to see how other world leaders react to his nomination as the 2012 calender would be considered obscene in the Arab world.
