The long time girlfriend of Motassim Gaddafi has been fired from her modeling job as the face of telephone company Alice in Germany. The company were not impressed with remarks she made praising the Gaddafis.
Vanessa Hessler, the Italian-American blond beauty who is recognized throughout Germany as the face of Germany's Alice phone company advertisements, has been fired for praising the Gaddafis. The 23-year-old model was the face of Telefonica Germany's Alice subsidiary until Monday, when the company dispensed of her services. Hessler had a four-year relationship with Gaddafi and told Italian magazine Diva e Donna "I didn't have any contact with him since the uprising broke out, but our relationship was one of passion. The Gaddafi family is not as they are being depicted, they are normal people" Emirates 247 reported.According to The Local de. she criticised foreign powers interfering in Libya, saying "We - France and Great Britain - financed the rebels. The people don't know what they are doing." Following her public remarks the spokesman for Alice, Albert Fetsch, said on Sunday that the company expected Hessler to distance herself from her remarks, emphasizing that her comments in no way reflected the company's position. One day later Hessler was fired for refusing to distance herself from her comments.
Whilst Hessler had no contact with Mutassim during the Libyan conflict he carried on a relationship with glamour model Talitha van Zon who visited him in Libya in August.
