Just when you think technological gadgets like the iPhone 4s is as good as it's going to get, another creative tech gadget slides into home base.
According to SimplyZesty, MatadorNetwork and Gadling if you think your iPhone or Android camera and panorama app is all you need to take a 360 degree phone, then think again. Let's introduce you to the Throwable Panoramic Ball Camera. The title perfectly sums it up. It's basically a big ball that's fitted with 36, 2-megapixel mobile phone camera modules which all click together to create a full panorama. When it is thrown into the air, it takes a panoramic photo that can then be uploaded to your computer.
What's even more amazing about this device is it is built in such a way that once it's thrown in the air it automatically takes the picture at the highest point. The device (ball) is well padded so no worries about not being a great catcher.
This totally awesome tech gadget is the creation of German student Jonas Pfeil and four other students from Berlin's Technische Universitat. The gadget isn't available for purchase (patent is still pending).
