Dallas - Across the Woodall Rodgers Freeway from where the Occupy Dallas protesters have set up camp, the Occupy the Fed movement is gathering steam and readying for a big rally tomorrow night: Shred the Fed.
The Shred the Fed rally will begin this Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10p.m. and continue until the music stops or is stopped.
One noteworthy performer confirmed to be in attendance and shredding is J.J. Keenan, lead guitarist for Shatter Me. Other local guitarists and musicians are encouraged to come out and join in on the noise-making, as well.
Rick Warden, whose Texas Video Truth has been covering Occupy the Fed since last Friday, is one of the organizers of the event, though he is quick to insist Occupy the Fed has no particular leader.
"What do we want? End the Fed. Want to compromise? Ok. Audit the Fed," says Warden.
Laughing, he added it would be nice if Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas president and CEO Richard W. Fisher would come down to join the protesters and answer some questions.
Occupy the Fed sprung into being last Friday when radio talk show host and alternative media pioneer, Alex Jones, organized a protest at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
