Yesterday it was Bali at the center of an earthquake, and today an earthquake has struck Papua New Guinea. Details are still sketchy.

The West Australian, the quake was centered 103km east
Lae which is the second largest city in the island nation with a population in excess of 72,000 as of 2000.
The temblor was reported by the
USGS as being 6.7 on the
Richter scale and 28.2 - 32.9 miles deep.
The earthquake happened at
8:35 Vancouver, Los Angeles time on Thursday evening.
A spokeswoman for the
Morobe Provincial Government, Jacobeth David stated there ahd been no damage and the quake had hardly been noticed.
