Deadly shooting in California salon

Seal Beach - A gunman entered the Salon Meritage and opened fire on patrons. 9 victims have been shot. No reports state that any of the other patrons inside were harmed.

CBS Los Angeles reports that of the 9 victims who were shot, 6 have been killed. The 3 victims who survived are in critical condition. The incident happened shortly before 1:30 this afternoon in the small town of Seal Beach located in Orange County. The salon is on the 500 block of the Pacific Coast Highway. Steve Bowles of the Seal Beach Police Department states that the shooting suspect was apprehended shortly after the shooting about a half mile from the salon. Multiple weapons are reported to have been found in his vehicle. MSNBC reports that the suspect may have also been wearing body armor. The suspect showed no resistance in being taken into custody. The names of the victims and suspect have not yet been released. No motive has been reported so far.
