Taguig - The German-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) formally opened their annual Mabuhay Germany event on Friday, October 7, 2011 to celebrate the partnerships fostered between Germany and the Philippines.
Now on its fourth year, the Mabuhay Germany event carried the theme 'Winning Moments' to celebrate the many achievements of the over 140 years of trade and business partnerships between the two countries.
On the opening of the Mabuhay Germany exhibit, booths were set up throughout the center of Bonifacio High Street where 35 participating German companies showcased their respective winning moments. Booths were also set up by various concessionaires selling authentic German food and imported German beer and wine to complete the entire experience.
A gala dinner was held later that evening at Bonifacio High Street. The dinner was attended by distinguished members of the German business community here in the Philippines as well as representatives from the German embassy in the Philippines and the local government of Taguig City.
Ms. Sandra Seifert—a half-Filipino, half-German beauty queen turned TV host and spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation in the Philippines—hosted the program at the gala dinner.

Among these programs include carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction, climate change adaptation, disaster preparation, city planning, and improvement of the public transport system.
German Jazz band Hot Brownies provided the entertainment to the guests late in the evening.
The Mabuhay Germany event runs from October 7 to 9, 2011 at Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
