Taguig - It was an afternoon of fine food and wine as Enderun Colleges hosted their Not for Snobs wine market and wine tasting event in the Atrium within the school's campus.
The wine market and tasting event featured nine of the leading wine suppliers in the Philippines. Guests attending the wine event were provided with booklets which gave information of the different wine suppliers in attendance as well as wine stubs that they can exchange at the different booths for a free sample of Old and New World wines showcased by each of the wine suppliers.
Also present at this event were Daniel Perez, the Director of Enderun Extension—the continuing education arm of Enderun Colleges, members of the school's faculty, and students enrolled in the different degree programs offered by the school.

Cocktail food from the school's application restaurant, Restaurant 101, were served to the guests to accompany the different wines offered by the wine suppliers present at the event. Terry's Selection, one of the wine suppliers, treated the guests during the event by serving free plates of authentic Serrano ham imported from Spain.

In addition to promoting their upcoming short courses on wine appreciation, Enderun's wine tasting and market event aimed to educate and heighten the Filipinos' knowledge and appreciation towards wine.

Unlike in other countries, wine events like this have always been viewed to be uptight, extremely formal, and exclusive only to the elite members of society. The casual atmosphere and "come-as-you-are" dress code observed during the event was done on purpose in order to dispel the perceived notion of many Filipinos about wine events and wine in general.
As the afternoon wore on, the older and more experienced wine lovers filled the venue to take part in the event.

Many of them came straight from their offices in the nearby central business districts of Makati, the Fort Global City, and Ortigas. Few of them not only sampled the wines offered by the wine suppliers. They also took advantage of the discounted prices offered by these wine suppliers on their selected wines, some of which have been packaged to reflect the upcoming Christmas season.
