Sacramento - Police has arrested an american in the city of Sacramento after he bit a pet python, which left the snake severely injured.
David Senk (52), was arrested by the Sacramento police on suspicion of maiming a pet python, according to MSNBC. The man bit the python twice, and this left the python seriously hurt.
The python was given emergency surgery and is now recovering. After she lost a few ribs, Animal Care Services took hold of her for further care and recovery.
"She's doing well. We did surgery on her last night and I think we saved her life", Gina Knepp, acting animal care services manager, told the Sacramento Bee.
As for Senk, he claims he doesn't recall biting the python because of his drinking problem. He said, "I did what? If you find the owner, tell him I'm real sorry... I'm willing to help pay for medical expenses."
The police still doesn't know who is the actual owner of the python.
