Cherchell - Reports have come in saying that 18 people have died as suicide bombers attack a military base in the town of Cherchell in Algeria
A security source has told Reuters news agency that 18 people have been killed following a suicide bomb attack on the town of Cherchell.
The Friday attack took place at a military barracks in the town and it's thought that there were two separate suicide bombers involved.
Sixteen soldiers and two civilians were thought to have been killed as the bombers detonated themselves at the entrance to the barracks just after the moment of iftar which is when Muslims who are currently observing the holy month of Ramadan break the daily fast.
