article imageMegan Fox having laser removal treatment on Marilyn Monroe tattoo

American actress Megan Fox is currently in the process of having her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed, stating that it creates too much "negative energy" in her life.
The tattoo - which depicts Monroe's face on her right forearm - is being removed using laser technology.
The 25-year-old recently spoke to Italian magazine Amica: "I'm removing it. It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar," Fox said.
"I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."
Monroe went through three divorces during her 36-year life, while her death in 1962 was classed as a "probable suicide".
Fox also has nine other tattoos, which include a portrait of actor Mickey Rourke on her rib cage, a tribal tattoo on her left wrist and a quote from King Lear.
She added: "Who knows, maybe I'll remove the others too, but the laser hurts."
Although it has since been removed, Fox once had a Britney Spears-inspired naval piercing.
"[That was] the only time I tried to imitate someone else. But then I thought it was tacky and so I removed it when I turned 20," the actress explained.
Fox will next appear in "Friends with Kids" and "The Dictator".
