Toronto - Academy Award winner and political activist Jane Fonda appeared in Toronto Monday to promote and sign her latest book "Prime Time: Love, Health, Sex, Fitness, Friendship, Spirit--making The Most Of All Of Your Life."
Bestselling author Jane Fonda, daughter of acclaimed actor Henry Fonda, will return to the silverscreen in the motion picture “Peace, Love & Misunderstanding,” which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The story surrounds a conservative lawyer who takes his two teenage children to meet their hippie grandmother (Fonda). The film is directed by Bruce Beresford and stars Catherine Keener, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Rosanna Arquette.
On Monday, Fonda came to Toronto at the Manulife Centre Indigo bookstore to promote and sign her newest book “Prime Time: Love, Health, Sex, Fitness, Friendship, Spirit--making The Most Of All Of Your Life."
Fonda, who is also a fitness guru, explains that she spent four years writing this book. The premise of the book, says Fonda, is how to prepare for and understand the aging process “before death.”

The book covers the topics of food, love, physical fitness, understanding one’s self and spiritual and social growth. She highlights personal past experiences from the age of 45 to the present day. She also talks about new health research that will assist in comprehending the “11 key ingredients to vital living.”
The Indigo store was filled with fans of Fonda, which led to a headache for security as people kept packing the first floor to catch a glimpse and take a photo of the Emmy award winning star.
Fonda’s next project is a French film called “Et si on vivait tous ensemble?” that is about five old friends who move in together instead of settling in a retirement home. Incidentally, Fonda spoke French with members of the audience during the booksigning.
