Fashion model and hotel heiress Paris Hilton arrived in Manila late Sunday to a rousing welcome by fans at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. She came in via Emirates Airways Flight ER 334 from Dubai.
There were reports that the popular fashion model
lost two of her mobile devices on her way to the Philippines via Dubai.
A few hours after her arrival, Hilton said on her
Twitter page she felt welcomed at the airport by fans and excited to be in Manila.
"Mabuhay Philippines! I just arrived, thousands of fans waiting at the airport when I walked in. I feel so welcomed here! Mahal ko kayo! :)" she said.
"So excited to be here in Manila! So beautiful!" part of her tweet read.
Hilton will be staying in the Philippines for about a week for a series of meetings with her local partners and clients.
The hotel heiress is reportedly helping in the conceptualization and design of a resort hotel and beach club complex in Metro Manila.
Hilton is also set to
open a Hilton Fashion and Handbag Store at the SM Megamall later this week.
Hilton is set to meet with Filipino boxing star Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee to discuss possible business partnership in a resort and fashion-related ventures.
"Looking forward to meeting up with my friends Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao while I'm here. They are such a cool sweet couple! Love them! :)"
Hilton said on her Twitter message.
Hilton and Pacquiao met at the post-fight press conference of the recently-staged Pacquiao vs. Mosley boxing fight in Las Vegas, Nev. She promised Manny and Jinkee she will visit the Philippines this year on a business and pleasure trip.
Meanwhile rumors are swirling around Hilton will have an audience with Philippine President Noynoy Aquino, who is a bachelor, in Malacanang Palace but this was not officially confirmed by the office of the president.
