Elvis and Elton John tribute artists played to an enthusiastic crowd Sunday night to finish off a successful run of the 18th Taste of the Danforth food festival in Toronto.
Elvis and Elton John tribute artists wowed the crowd as the Pilaros Taste of the Danforth, ended last night with the largest crowd at the Celebrity Stage at Logan on the Danforth. Although the rain came a few times during the final day it didn't dampen the crowds in the late afternoon as the people of Toronto couldn't get enough of the Greek food and entertainment.
Event organizer Howard Litchman for the 18th annual event did an excellent job putting on such a peaceful and fun event for families and groups from all parts of Toronto and beyond. The food event which is sponsored by Pilaros and Coca Cola, will get underway, tomorrow for the 2012 event and Litchman said, "We are extremely pleased with the turnout this year and expect even bigger crowds for 2012."
A lot of credit must be given to the workers behind the scenes, since the Danforth was one of the cleanest events being held in Toronto this year, and such a large selection of vendors and merchadice, and then of course the amazing Greek foods.
You could see after the performance the crowd gathered around the Elvis impersonators, he is alive and well, to the over 40 female crowd and all of the artists did not disappoint the larger than regular cheering public.
