Changsha - A 15-year-old Chinese boy has miraculously survived after he was stabbed through the forehead with a huge sword, the Metro reports.
Zhang Bin had only invited friends to his house when one of them decided to turn up with a 50cm sword.
While it's still unknown as to how the sword actually got into Bin's skull, reports suggest that is was up to 5cm deep.
The brave boy said: "Three classmates came to visit me at home and one of them brought a sword. He stood 3-4 meters away from me. I don't know how the sword could fly to me and stab into my head. I felt sharp pains and a large amount of blood streamed down."
Bin was initially refused treatment by local doctors who cited inexperience, before traveling four hours (250 miles) to the nearest hospital in Changsha, Hunan Povince.
The chief surgeon said: "Luckily the knife didn't touch the arteries in the skull and key nerves, otherwise it would have been a different story."
While some viewers may find it disturbing, an image can be seen on the Metro's website.
