article imageOp-Ed: Forget Friday! Rebecca Black to release 'My Moment' on Monday

By Christopher Bates     Jul 11, 2011 in Entertainment
Remember that 'Friday' song? You know, Rebecca Black's key to YouTube fame. Well you're in luck, because next Monday (July 18) will see the arrival of her next 'big' hit - 'My Moment'.
After Black gave the world Friday, it was quickly labelled one of the worst songs ever. That's right, EVER! Pretty impressive considering the Cheeky Girls were once considered a worldwide pop sensation.
However, you have to give Black credit. Not only is she ignoring her critics, but the 14-year-old is treating them to another masterpiece.
The announcement of My Moment was recently published on Black's official website, and will debut on Monday before becoming available for download on Tuesday.
The song is written by Brandon 'Blue' Hamilton and produced by Charlton Pettus. Hamilton has previously worked alongside Justin Bieber, while Pettus has collaborated with Tears for Fears and Hilary Duff.
Friday's video has since been removed from YouTube due to a legal dispute between Black and her record label - Ark Music Factory. Unfortunately, the lyrics are still with us.
